Communicating the Abstract

As NewtNote, my main concentration is copywriting for content some would describe as “new-age” — manifestation, spirituality, self-help, and holistic wellness are but a few respective topics. I believe the physical world is precious yet limiting, and that only by speaking the language of the unseen can we fulfill our individual and collective potentials.

Who is NewtNote?
My name is David West. My friends call me Davey, my mom calls me David, kind strangers call me Dave. I graduated from Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications in the spring of 2021 with a BFA in Writing for Film, TV, and Emerging Media. While there, I held a staff writer position for the acclaimed college newspaper “The Ithacan,” and was a writer for the Ithaca College television series “Ithakids.” During my 2020 internship in West Hollywood for Aperture Entertainment, I wrote daily coverage of screenplays and novels. I have since worked freelance projects for individuals and entities alike.

Prior to college and the workforce, I attended Morristown High School, where I served as founder and head of the Philosophy Club. I was also a regular writer for the student newspaper and a member of the Humanities Academy, a group of select students who excelled in creative, humanities-oriented thinking. I represented my school at the 2016 national Future Business Leaders of America conference in Atlanta, Georgia, where I was a first-round finalist.

One thing that's remained constant is that I am never more alive and awake, alert and enthusiastic, than when I am writing. If I'm not burning finger fat on the keyboard, you could likely find me camping with friends, biking the city, or playing keep-away with my dog, Whimsy. I am grateful to lead a life of spiritual wealth, and view writing as a channel through which I can help others access their inner treasure.
